Some people may decide that they will accept other forms of photo
ID (the photo-card section of a modern UK driving license, for
example). In general, I won't do that(*).

I'm going to suggest that we have another keysigning at the
December meeting. That will enable people who missed this coming
meeting, or forgot/didn't have their ID to have another stab at it.

I also volunteer to give a talk on practical cryptography -- use
and management of SSH, GPG and X.509 (SSL/TLS certificates, as used by
OpenVPN), since I see it's been requested by a couple of people on the
Wiki.

Hugo.

(*) However, in one case, I didn't bother checking any ID at all for
someone whose key I signed, since I've known them for the best part of
25 years, and they've been using the same name for all of that time,
so as far as I'm concerned they *were* that person. I still validated
their email address, though, using the "B" steps in my list of
instructions.
