Hi Lisi,

I have a ProLite E435 and my Ubuntu Feisty xorg.conf sets the HorizSync
and VertRefresh explicitly.

The manual for the Iiyama ProLite E431S (bit of guesswork on my part
there - so it's probably a good idea to ignore this if I have guessed
incorrectly) gives the following numbers:

Sync Frequency Horizontal: 24.0-80.0kHz, Vertical: 55-75Hz

Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "Generic Monitor"
    HorizSync 24.0 - 80.0
    VertRefresh 55.0 - 75.0
    Option "DPMS"
EndSection

Worth a try perhaps? Like I say, ignore this if the monitor is not an
Iiyama ProLite E43[0|1].
