Will you be at the LUG meeting in December? And would you like me to bring

DVD of Fedora 8 with me for you?

(Pity about the Linux box. I never get on with Nero. K3B is _much_ better
(IMHO anyway).)

I won't be there I'm afraid. I live down on the Sussex coast now - though
was in Farnborough for 5 years - but this is one of the (if not the most)
friendly knowledgable LUGs around - hence I remain.

Agreed - it is a shame. But the reasons for the DVD writer being on a M$
box are too boring to go into here.

The thing is though - the disk seems to be ok - in as much as it's booting
(I'm getting the ISOLINUX version header) but not the kernel image.
