If we have a problem on the BT side, then I hand things over to
my GF to sort out. She works for BT, and though she doesn't have
anything to do with the retail side, she was involved in the
technical side of BT's broadband implementation, so she has a
good idea about how it really works.
Her conversations with Demon are along the lines of: "The problem
is probably X, when you raise a fault with OpenReach, make sure to
mention the words Y and Z, which will get them to look in the right
place and actually fix it".
Strangely, things get fixed really quickly :-)
