Hi all
Just wondering what the next move is in the following situation...
I have two broadband connections - one ntl (now Virgin) and one ADSL Orange.
ADSL is my default connection but at the moment, I can't even ping the ntl
mail server pop.ntlworld.com using Orange. However, if I switch to my
cable router - no problems - server is up and I can get my email.
So there seems to be either some problem in the routing between orange and
ntl - or it may be that ntl have changed their settings and I now can't even
receive ntl mail unless I'm part of the ntl network. Previously I could
always receive ntl mail but it wouldn't let me send if I were on the orange
network.
What should my next course of action be?
1) Wait - the routing issue might sort itself out
2) Contact orange
3) Contact ntl
To be honest, I have no wish to do either 2) or 3) because I'm fed up of
drones in call centres (had some trouble with the bank of late) especially
on my day off. Nonetheless it would be good to know what I _should_ do.
