Yes, I've found that. I think in the past 18 months things have changed,
or it may just be that I decided to stick with the Debian packages.
These use dzhandler, which I assume is acting as a front to
mkzopeinstance.py amongst other things.

The installation instructions talked about extracting it and then adding
through the web front end. It's the web front end I'd like to see,
although it may have been rash of me to assume that you should be able
to use the web front end from installation!

No real interest in Zope. As I said in my original email, the only
reason I'm looking at it is as a requirement for this
IssueTrackerProduct thing, which looked potentially good.

Sorry, not looking to upset anyone. If you know of a Django job tracker
I'll take a look. I keep getting tempted to go back to my original idea
of about 10 years ago an rebuild my old system for Linux (perl or
whichever with MySQL or PostgreSQL). The original was a horrible mash up
using Javascript, HTML, MS SQL Server, Transact SQL and a tiny CGI
called HotSQL. Currently I need something up an running quickly that is
easy to use - I may be forced to take a look at RT, but that seems
overkill, even if it may be easier to get running!
