I bought an Acer Aspire One after comparing the keyboard with the Eee. I
touch-type, and I found the Eee keyboard too small. I'm very pleased with
the Aspire One, and I use it much more than I thought I would. Battery
life seems to be around three hours, but I usually use it with the mains
connected so that isn't a well-tested figure. Happy to answer any
