Yes - I have read up on this - two options

  1) email the correct person at the BBC with a 'harrassment' letter.
This makes TVL put your address on hold for the legal expiry time of
three years the they start again - If I go down this route I
think it best to send them a letter every two years reg.deliv.

If they then send any further threatening letters/peeps at door
you can call police and and sue for harrassment.

  2) Ignore the letters and let them waste the taxpayers moolah.
As they provide no contact details other than a high cost phone
number (without stating the rate - an ofcom requriement)
I do not see how to contact then without incurring via letter.

So far I have gone for option 2 :-/

Our ariel on the roof fell off over five years ago and we stuck one
in the attic. When the TV died we gave this ariel to a friend.

We have NTL but only broadband so at the mo we have no way to watch
live broadcast tv. Somehow I doubt this will stop them.

We do have a 23in CRT monitor in the living room for Pauls computer
so if they peek through the front window they will see a "TV" and
probably start court proceedings - and we will fight and win
and I will probably get legal advice on how best to get costs back :-)
