Hi,

I have one with an ext3 filesystem (encrypted with Truecrypt to protect the backup should I lose the drive) and it works fine.

Cheers,
Paul.

A quick filesystem question.

I have an external hard drive that I'm planning on using along with a
backup solution like BackInTime or similar. I have a feeling I will run
into problems if I leave it as FAT32 and I have no requirement for a
windoze machine to read it.

The data I am backing up is in ext3 format, would I be best of using
ext2 or ext3 for the external drive? Or any other file system?

Thanks!

Ritchie
