I buy fair trade tea, chocolate and other similar ethically good items
if I possibly can.
I make some significant effort to vote in elections. I am occasionally
active in one or other political issues over time. I am active as an
advocate of free software.
I abhor slavery.
I spend time regularly as a washing up volunteer in an old peoples
cafe in Bracknell (that I use, I am old). The local authority closed
it for lack of funds.
There is more.......

'Political baggage' historically got me and mine, the vote. I am very
proud of political baggage, and have a great respect for it. Most
particularly the 'Freedom' bit, in some places and times this would
have lost me my head.

Great prophets of all types are sometimes poorly appreciated in their
time.
