Hi all
Just to say I finally got this working. To faciltate this I had to:
a) Disable wifi on the router - no great loss
b) Ethernet over powerline to the living room
c) connect the Novatech thing in the living room via a cable and configure
it as an access point
So now we have good solid wifi in the living room and we can fall back on a
hub and cable if we really have to. Even the Wii is picking up wifi strong
enough for iplayer - which is good as we don't have cable tv now. It only
remains for me to get another ADSL connection down our other BT line (idnet
methinks) and we'll be near (not quite) at our old level of connectivity.
While Virgin's customer service is nigh on hell - it was a totally separate
broadband connection.
For now though I am content. Many thanks for everyone's replies!
