Have a look at a program called MakeMKV, which will allow you to rip the
blu-ray to an mkv file which is playable on linux. The web site is
http://makemkv.com/. On linux you have to download and compile from
source, but it seems to work. I have tried one blu-ray and that worked
for me.
Any blu-ray drive should work on linux.
