I have one of those, and experienced the same thumb pain Paul Stimpson
reported. I switched to a Kingston Orbit (not mentioned so far I
think), which comes with optional wrist support. It has a built-in
rotatable cuff that acts as a mouse wheel, and it's ambidextrous. I
feel more adept at positioning the cursor with it too. Amazon link
