In the spirit of trying different things, I thought we could have a
theme - a collection of related talks and hopefully to trigger a bit
of thought.
Some possible themes are:
- backup (sbackup, rsync, bacula, backuppc, duplicity, ...)
(I can help with rsync, bacula, backuppc)
- security (Hugo's postponed crypto talk, SSH, GPG, network security,
VPN, HIDS - e.g. osiris, tripwire, encrypted filesystems)
(I can help with osiris, ssh, maybe openvpn (it's been a while))
- media (VoIP, Skype, MythTV, digital photography, DV and encoding)
(I can help with VoIP a bit, skype)
- network (basics, firewall, VPN, IP multicast, IPv6, network manager, SSH)
(I can help with basics, firewall, openvpn maybe, ssh)
I've tried to go through the meeting suggestions to make this list.
It would be really helpful if people could give their view on what
they'd like to see (or even better what talks they would be happy to
give!) I'll give it a while and then announce the winning entry!
In fact, I'm going to try a little experiment, there is a little
survey here (one question with four rows) which people might prefer to
fill in. Feel free to reply here instead/as well
