I've used hotspots in a few different hotels and they tend to be open to
all traffic. The only problem I have is with some Premier Inns that use
Swisscom as their WiFi provider. For some unknown reason they intercept
all SMTP traffic and route it through their own server; I get around it
by ssh'ing into my mail server and setting up a tunnel.
