That's true! Many ThinkPads have passed through my hands but I've only
ever experienced one problem: my (netbook-sized) X30 doesn't like
'Squeeze' , so it's still running 'Lenny'.
One benefit is the existence of ThinkWiki, which is the source of an
enormous amount of Linux/ThinkPad information.
