Beware the newer iPods, apparently there's some kind of key that need in
order to play music use which can only be generated by iTunes [1].

I'm not too sure how effective an attempt to circumvent this would be,
but worth looking into I guess!

Perhaps further unrelated, my iPod shuffle (second gen) works perfectly
on Ubuntu Gutsy, just plug and play with Rhythmbox!
