When you say a 'piece of hardware', any clues Tim?
A quick scan of the manual might provide some hints as to whether it
does DHCP or if there is a manufacturer's default, hence the question.
Having re-flashed my NSLU2 the other day I googled for it and discovered
that the default was for a static address of 192.168.1.77.
