When you pick up a second hand deck check the stylus.

you may well find that you will need to replace it as its lost its shape also
the suspension could have collapsed. Best to check what available stylus wise
before buying a second hand deck.

A non-suspended deck will more likely be in better condition as a sprung one
could be badly damaged.

Theres a bush turntable for about £60 or so thats not so bad cant remember its
model name though. Argos used to stock it dont know if they do now.
