John , thank you for your words. I will certainly try to attend one of
the meetings. I did just that a couple of months ago, in Portsmouth, all
the attendees were very helpful towards my problems.

I blame my son for all this, three months ago he gave me a copy of a
program called Ubuntu 6.01, I had never heard of it at the time, I then
went on to install it, and I have never looked back, why? I do not know,
it must be because I like a challenge.

I still have my trustworthy copy of XP pro in the background, just in
case, you now what I mean..................

My background is not exciting as yours, I work for a Microsoft driven
NHS, I must not complain, I bought Microsoft Office 2003 Professional,
under NHS license for less than £ 20, not bad at all, don't you think.
Mind you I use Open Office a lot and I think is as good as the Microsoft
product but free.

My next move is to try to get linux on my USB pen, I may attempt this
during my short Christmas break.

My son is looking at the possibility of putting Linux on his PSP, I
thinks this is well out of my league. Who knows maybe someone in the
forum knows how to accomplish this.

Cheers

Luis
