I don't know if you have ever run digiKam Graham but first it scans the albums
to ensure nothing has changed, this changed to a completely different type of
interface late last year when it was last updated. This is then normally
followed by a graphic picture screen (overlaid with the details of plugins it
is loading), every new release has had a different picture, in this case it
went from the red flower picture to a prairie looking up out of its burrow.
But this morning it has reverted back to the old style album checking
interface and the old red flower graphic picture.

Not only that but since the last update to digikam last year when you clicked
on a picture from one of your albums it would open the picture in the viewer
and there would be a large properties window down the right hand side of the
picture. This is also has changed since last nights update as it no longer
displays the pictures in the viewer it had previously used "showfoto" it now
seem to open the picture in an internal viewer (and showfoto used to open
with a graphic picture screen which changed from a view of a canyon to a
picture of a raspberry).

Its strange I say, a conspricay!!
