Hi Jim,
this is something I've wondered about as well, but I've not seen any
sign of it on my Iiyama E1900 (it was just running GLXgears screen
saver which has a black background, and I had a good squint).

Good to know from Adam that if it does arise it's warranty-reclaimable though.
