Not sure I qualify in that regard Sam!

Here's the output from the Crucial site when selecting that particular mobo:

*http://tinyurl.com/7a3xxk*

It would seem to agree with you in that it /should/ hold 4 x 1GB modules
of PC2700, and IIRC if you purchase those from Crucial they will refund
if it doesn't work. Presumably they would expect to see four similar
modules in all the slots and there is a note relating to that effect:

    * *184-pin DIMM Banking: *  4 (4 banks of 1)
    * *Module Types Supported: * Unbuffered and Registered
    * *Error Detection Support: * ECC only
    * *Graphics Support: *  AGP 4X
    * *Max Component Density: *  512Mb
    * *Chipset: *  AMD 760-MPX
    * *Max Registered DDR SDRAM: *  4096MB
    * *Max Unbuffered DDR SDRAM: *  2048MB
    * *USB Support: *  1.x Compliant
    * *Supported DRAM Types: * DDR SDRAM only
    * The Tiger MPX supports non-registered DDR SDRAM in the first 2
      memory sockets only (DIMM1 and DIMM2, as labeled on the
      motherboard). Registered DIMMs are supported in all sockets.The
      AMD-760 MPX requires a portion of memory to be reserved for PCI
      devices. Allocation for these devices is dependent on the number
      of PCI devices installed and option ROM for each device. Common
      configurations will see 3.5GB to 3.8GB of available memory
