Yes, thanks. It was an enjoyable experience. It was nice to meet some
more Surrey LUGgers. I met Jon Fautley, only to realise that he had
bought me a curry two years ago!

I didn't note exact numbers, but I suspect only the same amount of
HantsLUG attendees where there as there are at Aldershot meetings (~15).
However, with the numbers from Surrey LUG this didn't show. Aldershot is
also a bigger venue so we "rattle around" in the hall when it's not a
busy meeting.

I thought it was a successful experiment, and probably worth repeating
every so often. Perhaps more so around traditionally low attendance
meetings like those around January, Easter and the summer.

I prefer Southampton as a venue, for the same reasons others have given.
However, I preferred the RedHat venue to the church hall. I'd echo the
comments that others have made about the greeting and a little more
organisation to the meetings being a good idea. I don't mean to take
anything away from John Washington and the others who gave their time to
organise the meeting, but I think the greeting people and the room
"divide" at Southampton are strong points of our meetings and Saturday's
meeting would benefit from them.

If we have a joint meeting in that month, we shouldn't have a "Hants
only" meeting as well. Monthly meetings seem to be enough for most peopl
- too much for some! I don't think it matters too much if a joint
meeting isn't on the usual weekend, as they are special events.

The LUG kitty could stretch to a jar of instant and a stack of paper
cups, I'm sure!
